ONEIDA CO., N.Y. — Oneida County 4-H Staff will be offering three workshops for youth and leaders on Martin Luther King Day 1/21/19 from 10-Noon.
Public Presentations/Horse Communications How To: 4-H encourages its members to practice and improve their public speaking skills by participating in either Public Presentation or Horse Communications. This workshop is designed to help youth and leaders understand the basic components of a presentation, how to organize your thoughts and talk in a logical manner, and pointers for creating a visually appealing presentation.
How to Show things at the Boonville Fair and State Fair: Don’t wait till the last minute to organize your projects for the Boonville Fair. This workshop will assist you in evaluating your projects as well as how to complete the paperwork and on line registrations for both the Boonville and State Fair.
How to Earn a County Medal: 4-H Members can earn recognition awards if certain criteria is met. This workshop will outline the guidelines for specific projects as well as how youth can apply for outstanding awards that would allow them to attend one of several overnight events or field trips.
