RENSSELAER CO., N.Y. — On Friday, October 26, Rensselaer County 4-H volunteers and members joined together for their annual General Interest Banquet. During the evening’s program, both 4-H volunteers and members were recognized for their leadership, dedication and outstanding achievements. Amanda Thrasher received a county medal for completing a project record and explanation on how much she has learned though her work with her dog over the years. Shane Thrasher received a county medal for all the community service projects that he has completed over the years he has been in 4-H. Also, 4-H members who were recognized for the their participation at the Schaghticoke Fair were: Luke Giglio who was presented the Shepherdship award for sheep, Adam Film was presented the Goat Herdsmanship Award, and Rebecca Bruso was presented with the Swine Herdsmanship award.
Clubs that were recognized were: Green Earthlings, Rensselaer County Trailblazers, Stablemates, Jogging Juniors, Fashionistas, Clover Kids & Critters, Thrills & Skills; these clubs go above and beyond to help out when needed, send youth and adults to events throughout the year and participate in all of our fundraisers, and known as our Honor Clubs. Additionally the following clubs were recognized for their displays for National 4–H Week: Green Earthlings, Jogging Juniors, Stablemates, Rensselaer County Trailblazers, Fashionistas, and Clover Kids & Critters.
