HERKIMER CO., N.Y. — Herkimer County 4-H partnered with Mt. Markham FFA to create planter boxes to be used at the Herkimer County Fair as part of a community service project to help beautify the fair in August. Eric Bugbee, Mt. Markham High School FFA advisor gave a lesson on how to properly use woodworking tools and then helped the youth assemble the boxes. The high school FFA members also helped the 4-H member and middle school FFA member with box assembly. Katie Lindsey, Mt. Markham Middle School FFA advisor was also on hand to help out.
Participating in the evening were: Eli Assisi, Luke Entwistle, Jordan Treen and Cole Williams from Mt. Markham FFA. Owen Allen (FFA & 4-H Member), Eleonore and Natalee Collins (4-H members), Virginia Culver (FFA & 4-H member), Logan & Lucas Humphreville (4-H members) and Katie Livingston (FFA & 4-H member).
