ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Have some summer fun. Join us for some hands-on activities during our day camps. Sponsored by Lehigh County 4-H, the camps are open to all boys and girls ages 8-18. Snacks are provided, but please bring a packed lunch. Please register at least 15 days before camp. The cost is $10 for 4-H members and $30 for non 4-H members. Stop the Invasion! (held July 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Want to gain more knowledge about Pennsylvania Invasive Species? Understand the threat that certain invasive species have on us and how they impact the health of our ecosystems and our world? Join us to learn about stink bugs, the spotted lantern fly, feral swine and more.
4-H Food Challenge (held July 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): If you enjoy cooking and food then this is the camp for you. Sign up to learn about healthy food choices, proper cooking techniques and food safety. **Opportunity to compete at the regional level**
Engineering Design Challenge (held Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Teamwork, engineering, problem solving and hands on fun are combined for this camp. We will explore simple machines and physics in the world of engineering. **Opportunity to compete at the regional level**
Sketchbook Crossroads (held Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): With pencil and paintbrush in hand, we will learn about the principles of design. Join us and explore art through color, pattern, shadows and more.
Ag Explorers (held Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Where does the food on your plate come from? We will answer that question and more as we dive into the world of agriculture. Come for hands on activities and learning as we become ag explorers.
