4-H blueberry jam youth canning class

Youth ages 13-19 are invited to take part in an in person blueberry jam canning class led by Horry County 4-H on Friday, June 25 from 10-12. Participants will learn basic hygiene as they prepare to work in the kitchen. They'll learn the basics of kitchen safety alongside the Food Safety and Systems agent. (photo provided)

CONWAY, S.C. — Youth ages 13-19 are invited to take part in an in person blueberry jam canning class led by Horry County 4-H on Friday, June 25 from 10-12. Participants will learn basic hygiene as they prepare to work in the kitchen. They’ll learn the basics of kitchen safety alongside the Food Safety and Systems agent.  Local blueberries will be prepared and used to make a delicious jam that youth can in return share with family and friends. 

A registration fee of $10 is required to participate. You may pay by cash, check, credit, or debit card. You can stop by the Horry County Clemson Extension office at 1949 Industrial Park Rd. Conway, SC 29526 to pay your registration fee. You also have the option to call our office at 843-365-6715 to pay with credit or debit card over the phone. All funds will go towards supporting the Horry County 4-H programs. 

Register promptly. Seating is limited.
