COXSACKIE, N.Y. — 4-H Achievement Night provides an opportunity to recognize 4-H club members and volunteer leaders for their accomplishments over the past year. This years’ event took place on Saturday, October 24th at the Hi-Way Drive In in Coxsackie. 4-H members enjoyed playing lawn games and throwing giant dice to win fun 4-H prizes like soccer balls, Frisbees and flashlights! They took silly pictures in the 4-H photo booth, picked up their prizes from summer 4-H challenges and checked out the achievement night raffle prizes.
As darkness fell the Farewell to Summer 2020 4-H Showcase video of participants was viewed on the big screen. That led into the 4-H award ceremony video hosted by 4-H educators, Linda Tripp and Anna Harrod-McGrew. CCE Board President, Billy Greer, welcomed everyone to the event via video. He spoke to the fact that this year has been nothing like any other yet and shared, “I am proud of everyone for finding creative and new ways to complete your project work”. The evening was capped with everyone enjoying the movie, “Babe”.
