SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. — The Jackson Pin Thimblers 4-H Club recently assisted in helping out the local community trough community service projects. Community service is an important part of our club’s activity to give back to the community we live in. On April 15th, five older members of our club- Courtney Marvin, Rebecca Haley, Zackary Heath, Chloe Baldwin, and Jakob Payne assisted in the Susquehanna American Legion at their annual fish fry. The members of the club served meals to all in attendance. Money raised from this event is used for the Hunts for Healing Program and also provides money for the American Legion to assist the needs of our local community.

Our second community service project was on April 30th.  This was a community service project for 4-hers of all ages of our club to participate in. It was held at the New Milford Creekside Apartments. Our club members cleaned out the garden beds and topped them with new soil donated by New Milford Hardware. In a few weeks our club member will return to plant vegetables.
