WALPOLE, N.H. — Join New Hampshire NRCS, in partnership with the Cheshire County Conservation District, for a FREE 3-day grazing course here in Cheshire County! Come and learn all about grazing management, and develop an individualized grazing plan for your farm! The course will be three days and we ask that each farm commits to attending all three sessions on: April 11th, April 12th, & May 9th (from 10am-3pm each day).
Instructed by Daimon Meeh (NRCS Grazing Specialist) with assistance from Bill Fosher (NHACD Project Agronomist) and the NRCS Walpole Field Office staff. The intended audience is farmers who are grazing ruminant livestock and want to do a better job managing the pasture as a feed source. The course will also help you to obtain a grazing plan, which is a prerequisite for applying for financial assistance for some projects under the EQIP Program. The intended goal is for each farm to develop a grazing plan by the end of the course on May 9th.
Enrollment is limited to 15 farms. More than one person per farm may attend. Registration deadline is April 3rd. Please commit to attending all three days. There is no fee to attend. Please BYO lunch. Please register at https://tinyurl.com/y8b4494f
