ORISKANY, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County Master Gardener Volunteers invite you to come and wander at the Extension’s Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens during the 21 st Annual Herb and Flower Festival on Saturday, June 17, 2017. This event will be held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County’s Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens, Oriskany, NY.
The event will run from 9:00am to 3:30pm which is a gardener’s dream being among the plant blooms and plant, garden wares and food to purchase. This long premier gardening event is great for families and diehard gardeners who begin streaming into the event at 9:00am. Come and purchase one of the famous Herbal Ice Cream sandwiches from Master Gardener Volunteers.
Visit 40+ vendors who fuel exciting plant discoveries to enhance home landscapes. Enjoy lunch on the grounds and sit in on one of eight different classes that span from Roses and Secrets to Beautiful Blooms, Pollinator’s Helping our Plants, Cooking with Herbs and Vegetables, Planting for Monarchs, Health in Vegetable Selection, ‘Foodscaping’ in your Landscape and more about the Green Menace: Emerald Ash Borer. Stop at the Butterfly House to glimpse the newly installed Monarchs and Painted Ladies before the festival concludes at 3:30pm.
This annual event is sponsored by the Master Gardener Volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County held at the Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens. Located at the Oneida County Farm and Home Center, 121 Second St., Oriskany, NY 13424. Nearby free parking at MetLife Parking lot is available with transportation to the Festival.
