PITTSBORO, N.C. — Join us for the 10th Annual Piedmont Regional Beef Conference on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center located at 1192 US 64W Business, Pittsboro, NC.
This year’s conference will feature three phenomenal speakers: Dr. Greg Halich from University of Kentucky, Dr. Suzanne Leonard from NC State University, and Dr. Deidre Harmon from NC State University.
Dr. Greg Halich will be sharing two excellent topics throughout the conference: Profitable Hay Feeding, Stocking Rates & Consequences of Overstocking and Bale Grazing in the Southeast. March will be a great time to reflect on your recent winter hay feeding strategies. Dr. Suzanne Leonard will be covering Designing Cattle Handling Facilities which is always a popular topic. Rounding out the day will be Dr. Deidre Harmon discussing Making, Storing, & Feeding Hay with an exciting hands-on demonstration.
At the end of the conference, there will be an optional Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) guidelines and certification training. The cost for BQA certification is separate from the conference registration and is collected on-site (please bring a check with you). If you are a current NC Cattlemen’s member certification is $15, if not the cost is $40.
There will also be a trade show featuring 20+ industry partners that offer feed, equipment, seed, fertilizer, cattle services, animal health, and more.
