MARIANNA, Fla. — Farmers from across the Florida Panhandle, as well as southern Alabama and Georgia are invited to attend the 2022 Panhandle Row Crop Short Course. The meeting will be hosted by Jackson County Extension on Thursday, March 3, at the Jackson County Agriculture Conference Center (2741 Penn Ave., Marianna, FL, 32448). Registration and the trade show will begin at 7:15 AM (Central) with the meeting to start promptly at 7:45 AM and conclude at 1:30 PM.
This event focuses peanut and cotton production. The speaker lineup includes Extension Specialists from the University of Florida, University of Georgia, and Auburn University. Topics include the climate and market outlooks, variety performance, crop fertility, pest management, and dicamba use in herbicide tolerant crops. Access the full flyer here.
