KEENE, N.H. — The NH Food Alliance, League of Conservation Voters, and the Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition (MFCC) join forces to produce a free, online event, the “2022 NH Agricultural Policy forum”, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
Chelsea Gazillo, American Farmland Land Trust’s (AFT) New England Policy Director and Director of Working Lands Alliance will provide keynote remarks. In these roles, she directs research, education, policy development and analysis. “Her work with policy leaders and farmers throughout New England, coupled with her deep understanding of the issues affecting agriculture and expertise in drafting policy will educate all of us on how best to spend our time advocating on behalf of our local farms,” says Roe-Ann Tasoulas, director of MFCC.
Topics to be discussed at the NH Agricultural Policy forum include the 2023 Farm Bill — specifically AFT’s policy priorities for New England states, and the Inflation Reduction Act’s impact on small-scale farms.
State agricultural policy leaders from the NH Farm Bureau, NOFA-NH, the NH Food Alliance Climate Change, Food Access, and Farm to School teams will join Gazillo to unpack bills heading into the 2023 legislative session and how you can effectively promote policy in your community and at the state level!
Registration is required. To register for the NH Agricultural Policy forum online, go to https://tinyurl.com/
