WOODBRIDGE, Calif. — “The SGMA Effect…What will it mean for California agriculture?” is the theme of California’s premiere annual agribusiness conference – Outlook 2022. The conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel / Convention Center in Visalia on Thursday, March 24th. Presented by the California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), Outlook 2022 and will feature a full day of impactful program sessions plus the release of the highly anticipated 2022 Trends® in Agricultural Land & Lease Values report.
The morning sessions will kick off with an Economics Panel and discussion of how California agriculture will respond to rising costs and related pressures. This will be followed by commodity updates on the state’s Nut and Winegrape industries. During the afternoon, a Water Panel will focus on the overview of forecasted water conditions, challenges and issues including the implementation of SGMA and its anticipated impact on land use, production and value. The 2022 Trends® in Agricultural Land & Lease Values session will highlight the drivers behind rural land value changes in California and Nevada with regional breakout sessions digging deeper into the various geographic areas covered in the report.
