MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Mark your calendar and get the whole family ready to join in the fun at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County’s 2021 Agriculture & Family Festival! Activities for all ages will be taking place on Sunday, July 11th from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at CCE Orange County’s Education Center and 4-H Park located at 300 Finchville Turnpike in Otisville, NY. All CDC and Orange County Health Department regulations regarding COVID-19 will be followed and wearing masks is encouraged at the Education Center & 4-H Park.
“After an all-around difficult year, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County is thrilled to be able to host this much-needed event for families in Orange County and the Hudson Valley. Please join our staff, volunteers, and 4-H community for a fun-filled and educational day!” said Lucy Joyce, Executive Director of CCE Orange County.
Some activities will include visiting various animals and farm friends, viewing 4-H and FFA Displays & Static Exhibits, a Horse Show, Educational Activities for all ages on Gardening, Bugs, Nutrition, Family Communication, Local Fishing, and more! Jeremy’s Shake Shack will be open throughout the event and run by our own 4-H Teen Leaders! Chocolate and vanilla milkshakes as well as dairy-free strawberry banana fruit smoothies will be available for purchase. Cost is $5 each and all proceeds will benefit the Education Center & 4-H Park and scholarships for Orange County 4-H Youth. Please help us to not run out of shakes by purchasing yours in advance!
There will also be pick-up only Chicken Barbecue Dinners made by the Minisink Kiwanis Club. You MUST purchase your meal(s) in advance no later than Thursday, July 1st to pick-up on Sunday, July 11th between 12:00 and 2:00 P.M. Each meal will be $12 and include a Kiwanis barbecued chicken leg quarter, roll, coleslaw, beverage, and brownie.
