The total crop value at wholesale for all growers with $10,000 or more in sales is estimated at $7.86 million for 2020, compared with $7.25 million in 2019. The number of producers for 2020, at 60, is up from the 2019 count of 50. Total covered area for floriculture crop production was 835 thousand square feet, down 4 percent from 2019. Open ground totaled 65 acres, down 54 percent from 2019 total.
Oregon
The total crop value at wholesale for all growers with $10,000 or more in sales is estimated at $140 million for 2020,
compared with $134 million for 2019. The number of producers for 2020, at 259, is up from the 2019 count of 216. Total covered area for floriculture crop production was 23.1 million square feet, down 19 percent from 2019. Greenhouse space for 2020, at 18.7 million square feet, was down 22 percent from 2019. Open ground totaled 2,649 acres, down 76 percent from the 2019 total.
Washington
The total crop value at wholesale for all growers with $10,000 or more in sales is estimated at $115 million for 2020,
compared with $94.4 million in 2019. The number of producers for 2020, at 279, is up from the 2019 count of 197. Total covered area for floriculture crop production was 13.2 million square feet in 2020, up slightly from the previous year. Open ground in 2020 totaled 2,936 acres, down 35 percent from the previous year.
