BUFFALO, N.Y. — The 2020 Double Up Food Bucks season is officially underway at farmers markets, mobile markets, farm stands, and small retail and grocery sites across New York State! The Double Up market season will run through October 31, 2020 at participating locations.
Double Up Food Bucks is a national model for healthy food incentive programs that provides individuals and families who receive SNAP benefits with a $1-to-$1 match, up to $20 per day, that encourages the purchase of healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables. Double Up piloted in 2014 at 7 market sites and has since grown to include over 100 unique participating sites statewide.
The program has expanded to include more sites than ever before in 2020. A complete list of participating sites and their operating hours can be found at https://doubleupnys.com/
