MINNEAPOLIS — It was Will Rogers that once said that farmers had to be an optimist or he wouldn’t still be a farmer. While optimism is an essential element in these challenging times, optimism alone isn’t enough to keep farming. Knowledge is the key to improve the odds and not just survive but thrive in the next decennium. Whether that be the knowledge to educate consumers about your practices, the knowledge needed to build resilient cropping systems that can handle Mother Nature’s whims, or the ability to read the tea leaves of the rapidly changing politics of markets and trade that create the demands for the commodities you produce. The 2019 edition of the CPM Short Course and MCPR Trade Show’s goal is, as always, to provide you an, ag professional, that knowledge so you and your customers with you cannot just survive but thrive.
