BELMONT, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County’s Agriculture Program is excited to announce:
2019 Allegany County Fair Youth Dairy Show Results

On Wednesday, July 17th the Allegany County Fair held the Youth Dairy Show. This year’s show opened with meet and greet with the judge, Richard Hill. He raises Brown Swiss cattle at Hills-Valley Farm in Cattaraugus, NY.
Beginning the show with Junior Showmanship, Morgan Holcomb first in class followed by Natalie Burrows, Abigail Morton, Emma Bolzan and Riley Blarr. All juniors received blue ribbon awards.
Moving into the Intermediate Showmanship division 1st blue to Madison Morehouse, 2nd blue Taylor Brokaw and 3rd blue to Halayna Eddy.
For the senior division topping the class was Jennifer Burrows. Also receiving blue ribbons Emily Lyman, Logan Kelley, and Kaylee Eddy. Red ribbons awarder to Kelsi Morton Blake Hewitt.
In our Novice Showmanship division Ben Eshelman received a blue.
Winners in each division received a halter sponsored by SAPUTO. The top 2 from each divisions competed for Master Showmanship. This year’s winner Jennifer Burrows received a director’s chair sponsored by Birds-All Dairy. Reserve Master Showmanship, Emily Lyman received a plaque and cash award from Jefferds Enterprises.
There were also 3 Clover Bub Showman, open to youth 5-7 years old. Bentley Foster, Garrett Morehouse and Isabella Morehouse. Each received a participation ribbon and an awards sponsored by Wild Geese Farm.
Following the showmanship breed classes were held. Highlights for these classes:
Dairy Herd – 1st place Friendship Everlasting 4-H Club
Club Herd – 1st place Friendship Everlasting 4-H Club
