GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida FFA Association is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Blue & Gold Award. The coveted Blue & Gold Award is among the highest awards presented by the organization. Its purpose is to recognize those individuals who greatly contribute to the advancement of agricultural education and provide outstanding service to the FFA program. Florida FFA is thriving today because of our strong supporters like each of these individuals and their efforts on our behalf are much appreciated.
The 2018 Blue & Gold Award recipients are:
Dr. Chad Carr – UF Animal Science
Dr. Charlotte Emerson – UF CALS
Mrs. Cheryl Flood – Florida State Fair
Mrs. Evie Nagel – Florida FFA Leadership Training Center
Mrs. Donna Stoddard – Volusia County Schools
These individuals will be recognized during the 4th General Session of the 90th Florida FFA State Convention & Expo on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM. The convention will be held at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando.

The annual state FFA convention and expo is the highlight of Florida FFA’s year. Nearly 5,000 FFA members, advisors, administrators, alumni, parents and industry partners come together to celebrate the achievements won by the past and present generations of agriculturalists, while continuing to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.
