GREENWICH, N.Y. — Greetings dear readers! We’re coming to you from the Morning Ag Clips office, where we pull together the latest breaking agricultural news for your app, inbox, and newsfeeds. But we’d like to take a little detour from our regular content and give you some behind-the-scenes insight into our daily routine.
There are certain things that make our days go a little more smoothly. They help push us through those early morning meetings, rejuvenate us when we’re feeling sluggish, or streamline our workflow to hit the deadlines.
From our office to yours – here are a few of our favorite things that might give you a leg up during your own day.
What do you need to maintain peak performance throughout the day? For us, it includes coffee, tea, and some special treats! Here are some of our go-to “pick-me-ups” for when we’re feeling just a little sluggish.
Oh, and if you haven’t tried those gummy nerds yet? Take the plunge!
Nespresso coffee is a favorite at our office! Specifically, the “Caramel Cookie” flavor, which brings notes of coconut, almond and biscuit to the brew.
This is the perfect combination of sour and sweet for all of the Nerd lovers out there.
If our candy dish doesn’t have Nerd Gummies in it, then it’s most likely full of this timeless chocolate treat. Yum!
Another favorite snack at the office are oranges! Juicy, sweet, and a great healthy alternative to all the sugary sweets that somehow find their way onto the break table…
Sometimes you want a hearty, home-cooked, warm meal to get you through the day. No more waiting in line at the microwave with an electric lunchbox! Make your next lunch something comforting and satiating.
Not everyone is a coffee drinker, but a warm drink can be soothing way to take a break during a cold day. This handy little teapot works with any sort of loose-leaf tea you like, such as Harney & Sons Organic Moroccan Mint tea.
What kind of office would we be without an electric kettle to heat up water quickly for our teas and coffees? This little kettle does the trick for us, although larger offices may need a larger size.
Some things just make work easier. You don’t want to have to worry about the lighting for that 9AM Zoom. Maybe you’d like to jam out to your favorite music, and get into that workflow “zone.”
…or maybe a new pair of earbuds can help cancel out that loud phone call from three desks over!
Whatever your needs may be, these are some of our go-to gadgets that we use almost every single day of the week.
We have several meetings and Zoom conferences each and every day. Having a ring light gives those video chats a much more professional look, keeping the focus on the task at hand rather than the harsh light coming off of our monitors!
Apple or Android? The verdict is still out at the office, but the need for earbuds is there all the same! Whether it’s to listen to music, tune into a webinar, or keep distractions at bay, either of these earbuds will serve you well.
Cords can end up cluttering a desk, snagging on your drink, or catching on the side of your keyboard. That’s why we prefer a wireless mouse: it’s one less thing to worry about!
It’s far more than just a watch, although reminders of the time certainly help us stay on task. The Apple Watch helps keep us connected even when we’ve stepped away for a moment, so we don’t miss those important messages or calls!
When you work in an office, a few creature comforts can make all the difference in your productivity. For us, that means staying warm (or cool, in summer!), and keeping our bodies engaged. As a group, we try to be mindful of our bodies and what they need – a chance to stand up, sit a little more straight, or maybe even workout our typing muscles!
Here at our office, winter tends to linger. Keeping those fingers and toes warm is essential to keeping up office morale, because when you’re cold there’s little else you can think about.
Looking more like summer where you live and work? Maybe this small USB desk fan will help keep you cool, instead of warming you up!
Using a desk is inevitable when you work at an office, but no one said you had to stay sitting all day! This adjustable desk gives you the flexibility to sit or stand while you work, depending on your needs that day.
An exercise ball is a great way to keep those core muscles engaged and improve your posture while you work. It’s far more comfortable than you would think! And we won’t lie, it’s pretty fun too.
Part fidgit toy, part grip strengthener, part stess relief: this little machine is a nice addition to your office drawer. Need to sit back and take a moment to think? Releive some stess? This handy little tool is great to have nearby.
And if all else fails in this arena, we aren’t beyond standing up and doing 25 jumping jacks, 10 push-ups, or 30 squats! Let’s go!
